Build your first character

1. Press “New…” in the character bar at the top of the PC tab. The creation wizard opens on four steps: Identity & Class, Ability Scores, Skills, Feats & Spells, and Finish.
2. Work through the wizard. Every choice that has rules text behind it — a race, an archetype, a domain, a bloodline — can be read in place before you commit to it, so you are never picking from names alone.
3. Finish, and the sheet fills itself in. Your tabs down the left — Combat & Stats, Skills, Feats, Spells, Inventory, Equipment — are already calculated. Companion tabs (Eidolon, Familiar, Animal Companion, Mount) appear only if your class grants one.
4. Level up from the Character tab. “Level Up…” walks the same choices again for the new level and applies everything it grants. Mythic tiers work the same way, from Go Mythic › Mythic PC › Tier Level Up.
5. Save. “Save As New” stores the character to your account; after that it autosaves as you work, and “Save As Copy” branches a variant off if you want to try something without losing the original.

Finding your way around

PC

The character sheet, one tab per part of it. This is where you build, level, equip and take notes.

Database

Every spell, feat, item, class and rule, searchable and filterable with no character loaded. Useful mid-session when you just need to read something.

Tools

Standalone calculators that don’t belong to any one sheet page — Undead Minions, Sacred Geometry — which still read and write the character you have open.

Go Mythic

Mythic play: paths, tiers 1 through 10, path abilities and the mythic rules text. Included with a subscription, with nothing extra to buy or enable — though not during the free trial.

Your characters

Your saves live with your account, so they follow you between devices — build at a desk, play from a phone. Work autosaves in the background as you go; the character bar tells you when it last saved.

Characters you create stay yours. HeroStack does not remove your content, and does not edit it. See the Terms of Service for exactly what you keep and what you grant by storing it here.

Recent changes

• Read a spell’s full text before learning it, and name your own custom bonuses.
• Mythic tiers now count 1 to 10 and show their tier names.
• The full mythic rules text is in the database.
• Mythic play added, entered through the Tier Up flow.
• The six ability scores are their own database category.
